This policy reflects the approach of the Oxfam confederation, and should be viewed in the context of Oxfam Canada’s programs. Internationally, these programs include emergency response and development initiatives that in some instances target or engage children, both directly and through our support to local partner organizations; in Canada, this includes support to volunteer and campus youth groups. Oxfam Canada has a responsibility to ensure that our programs are safe and in keeping with best interest of the child.”
